Taso foundation hosted Foundations for Peace Network Annual Meeting in Georgia

 During May 9-14, Taso foundation had the honor and opportunity to host the Foundations for Peace Network Annual Meeting in Georgia.
 During the past week, network members actively elaborated and developed FFP future activities and vision, discussed capacity building and the role of indigenous founders in resourcing and promoting the value of local peacebuilding, social justice, and community philanthropy.

  Together with the involvement of our local partner organizations, the meeting included peer learning field visits in Kakheti region. Taso foundation partner organizations - Leili Community Foundation and Kakheti regional Development foundation hosted FFP members and together we discussed grassroots social activism and women’s oral history; Social mobilization and it's a connection with community philanthropy. Founds shared their unique ways of organizational development, donor practices, community involvement and working aspects with Chechen refugees and local Muslim communities, and how we understand peace and social justice in a contextual way.

We want to express our gratitude toward our partner organizations and participants who made this sharing and learning meeting possible, for solidarity and contribution toward the further development of the network and local initiatives.
